PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct an expected value used for authenticating a main control board by a simple method, and prevent unauthorized control of a peripheral board from the main control board and appropriation of the expected value and information on authentication. SOLUTION: In an electronic apparatus having the main control board 310 and the peripheral board 330 for performing predetermined processing based on a control command sent by the main control board 310, if the control command to be sent to the peripheral board 330 is a predetermined control command, the main control board 310 adds correction data for correcting an expected value used for matching data sent from the main control board 310 and authentication data for authenticating the main control board 310. The main control board 310 sends the correction data before finishing sending a division number of authentication data to the peripheral board 330. The peripheral board 330 performs a dyadic operation of the received authentication data, and authenticates the main control board 310 on the basis of the value calculated by the dyadic operation and the corrected expected value.
