PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutter device and a recording apparatus which can prevent a sheared recording medium from being jammed. SOLUTION: The cutter device 6 which shears a roll paper sheet R by moving a cutter holder 66, provided on the downstream side of a discharge part for discharging a roll paper sheet R subjected to recording and holding a rotary blade 65 for shearing the roll paper sheet R, in a direction perpendicular to the discharging direction of the roll paper sheet R is further provided with a second inclination part 66b2 which pushes out the sheared roll paper sheet R to the downstream side in the discharging direction as the return path side of the cutter holder 66 moves.
