The invention relates to powder metallurgy and electrical engineering and concerns a material for electric contacts of switching units. The material contains, w/w: tin oxide – 10-12, bismuth oxide – 1.5-2.5, magnesium oxide – 0.02-0.1, tungsten oxide – 0.5-1 and silver – the rest. Technical result: savings of silver owing to increasing of electroerosion resistance, formation of inversion zone of mass transfer at commutation of direct current by intensity .
