<p>Disclosed is a method that is for producing a hydrindane, and that can efficiently produce easily and inexpensively compared to conventional methods. Further disclosed are a relatively inexpensive naphthenic solvent and a solvent for a detergent. The production method produces a hydrindane by hydrogenating a tetrahydroindene obtained by means of the Diels-Alder reaction of butadiene and cyclopentadiene. Also, the hydrindane obtained via this method can be used as a solvent or a detergent.</p> |
