<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reading accuracy of a symbol. <P>SOLUTION: A handy terminal 1 includes: a scanner part 16 for scanning a symbol, an acceleration sensor for detecting three-dimensional acceleration; a display part 14 and a buzzer for notifying a user of information; and a control part for allowing the scanner part 16 to scan the symbol to decode the symbol, obtaining a base point angle which is an inclination angle of the device itself, suitable for symbol reading, calculating the inclination angle of the own device as a device angle by using the acceleration detected by the acceleration sensor, discriminating whether a difference between the base point angle and the device angle exceeds a limit angle or not, and when the difference exceeds the limit angle, causing the display part 14 and the buzzer to notify that the difference exceeds the limit angle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
