PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a striking mechanism of timepiece which produces a loud sound and sufficient tone quality. SOLUTION: A striking-mechanism device of a timer 1 includes a gong 2, which surrounds a movement and stretches in an almost one surface (x, y) and a gong support 3 which is fixed to a timepiece plate 8. The gong 2 is attached to the gong support 3. At least one hammer 5 strikes the gong 2 to make it vibrate.
