PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for removing an inter-carrier interference, which suppress inter-carrier interference caused by temporal change in transmission line characteristics with less computational complexity. SOLUTION: A delay profile estimation unit 1 estimates a delay profile of a transmission line from a known signal included in a reception signal RS, and obtains a delay profile DP1 as an estimation result. A delay unit 2 delays the delay profile DP1 by a predetermined time, and outputs a delay signalΔDP1. An amplitude and phase change amount calculation unit 3 compares the delay profile DP1 with the delay signalΔDP1 to calculate temporal change amounts of amplitude and phase for each arrival wave (main wave and delayed wave). A first window function calculation unit 4 calculates a window function w(k) based on the temporal change amounts of amplitude and phase calculated for each arrival wave. A window function multiplication unit 5 multiplies an effective symbol part included in the reception signal RS by the window function w(k) output from the first window function calculation unit 4, to output a multiplied reception signal MRS.
