PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device which can supply power to a drive control part of a carriage without using FFC and avoid cost increase. SOLUTION: The printing device has the carriage equipped with a head for discharging ink, and prints an image on a medium by discharging the ink to the medium through driving of the head during the movement of the carriage. The printing device includes a drive control part provided to the carriage and for driving the head with electric power, and a moving mechanism for moving the carriage. The moving mechanism includes a power source which generates force for moving the carriage, and a conductive transmission member which is connected with the power source and the carriage and moves the carriage by transmitting the force of the power source to the carriage.
