PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring device which is easy to install and also portable. SOLUTION: The monitoring device 1 includes a camera 110 imaging a predetermined location, communication equipment wirelessly connected to a communication network, an image transmission means for transmitting a moving image or a still image taken by the camera 110 to a device connected to the communication network using the communication equipment, a microphone, a voice transmission means for transmitting a voice collected by the microphone to the device connected to the communication network using the communication equipment, a speaker, an amplifier, a voice reception means for receiving the voice transmitted from the device connected to the communication network, adjusting an output of the received voice using the amplifier, and outputting the adjusted voice from the speaker, and a body case 10 housing all of the above.
