PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stand for a thin display device which, when using a display part having sufficient thickness, fully utilize the portability of the display part, thereby having the enhanced usability. SOLUTION: The stand for supporting the thin display part includes: a placing part for placing the display part thereon; and a support part for supporting the placing part. The placing part includes a long-sized bottom plate part 141 for supporting the bottom surface part of the display part, and a pair of side plate parts 143 each including a loading direction guiding part for guiding the display part to the bottom plate part 141. Each of the long-sized loading direction guiding parts is longer than the longitudinal width of the bottom plate part 141, and the display part is put into a supported state by inserting the display part into the placing part from the bottom surface side first, fitting the side surfaces of the display part, which are longer than the width of the bottom surface of the display part, to the loading direction guiding parts to regulate the loading direction of the display part.
