<p>An air washing unit with a rotating atomiser comprises a feed pipe leading into the atomiser, which provides unobstructed liquid flow during the last portion of approach to the atomiser, a number of delivery elements in the distributor unit, closed above and below and connected at their radially inner (inlet) ends to a cylindrical central opening leading from the outlet end of the pipe and a symmetrical, transverse deflector plate across the outlet end of the pipe and at a constant distance from it, which ensures a 360 degrees continuous annular discharge from the end of the pipe into the distributor unit. The advantages of the apparatus are a completely uniform, uninterrupted distribution of the spray around the whole 360 degrees, so that no air remains unsprayed, and a considerable reduction in the current demand fluctuation of the electric motors operating the air washing plant.</p> |
