<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel artificial dental root which imposes less physical and psychological burden on a patient who extremely lacks a bone thickness in a maxillary bone and a method of mounting and fixing the same. <P>SOLUTION: An elastically deformable buckling type artificial dental root includes: a screw member equipped with a solid body portion which has a columnar shape and has a male thread portion in one end and a head portion which has a diameter that is larger than the body portion and has a connecting portion to an upper structure or an interposed article with the upper structure in the central part of the radial direction in the other end; and an elastically deformable buckling member equipped with a distal end part having a female thread portion screw-threaded with the male thread portion of the screw member in the inside in the central part of the radial direction in one end, a flange portion having a through-hole which makes the body portion of the screw member penetrate in the axial direction and prevents the head portion from penetrating in the central part of the radial direction in the other end, and a barrel-shaped outer wall portion which has a hollow cylindrical shape, has a plurality of slits along the axial direction, and is curved or bent in a manner to bulge outward in the radial direction in a part close at least to the flange portion.
