PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic cylinder (hydraulic cylinder) maintaining quantity of working fluid kept in a cushion pressure chamber. SOLUTION: In this liquid pressure cylinder, working fluid is kept in the cushion pressure chamber by a piston seal 50. The piston seal 50 includes: a main seal ring 51 keeping sliding contact on the inner circumference surface 11 of a cylinder tube 10; an O-ring 52 pressing the inner circumference (inner circumference surface 51b) of the main seal ring 51 and biasing the outer circumference (outer circumference surface 51a) of the main seal ring 51 toward the inner circumference surface 11 of a cylinder tube 10; and a sub seal ring 53 disposed in parallel with the main seal ring 51 and on a cushion pressure chamber 6 side, pressed by the main seal ring 51 when receiving pressure from a drive pressure chamber 5, and making sliding contact on the inner circumference surface 11 of the cylinder tube 10.
