PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem in a conventional image data transfer circuit: if a stop request signal is output because of abnormality in image data to be input, image data of a normal frame may also be discarded. SOLUTION: An input processing section 11B outputs an image data valid signal VA1 indicating for each pixel whether or not image data given according to a synchronizing signal are valid, and adds a start bit ST1 for displaying whether it is a first pixel of a frame and outputs as an image data signal when abnormality in image data is not detected. A buffer 13B sequentially stores and reads out in order image data signals output from the input processing section 11B. An output section 14B reads image data signals from the buffer 13B and if it is indicated by the start bit ST3 that it is the first pixel of the frame, the output section 14B transfers image data to the outside as image data of a new frame.
