PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device which achieves stabilization of on-current of transistors. SOLUTION: In an EL panel 1, the length of a channel protection film 6d in the channel length direction is made equal to or longer than 18[μm] in order to make the channel length of the drive transistor 6 longer than that of the switch transistor 5, then, the on-current of the drive transistor 6 is stabilized. Through the increase of the channel length of the drive transistor 6, the drive transistor 6 stably outputs the current to the EL element 8 to emit light from the EL element 8 at a desired level, and a difference in light emission level of the EL element 8 in each of pixels P in the EL panel 1 caused by misalignment in the manufacture of a thin-film transistor is eliminated, then, the image quality deterioration of the EL panel 1 is suppressed.
