METHOD FOR ETHERNET LOOP NETWORK PROTECTION AND THRANSMISSION NODE

A method for Ethernet loop network protection and a transmission node thereof are provided. The method introduces a "pre-up" state to the transmission node. If the transmission node of the loop doesn't receive the loop failure protocol message in the preset times after the loop failure is recovered, the transmission node turns into the pre-up state. If the transmission node is in the pre-up state and the loop failure occurs again, i.e. the transmission node receives the loop failure protocol message in the pre-up state, the transmission node opens both the primary port and the secondary port and refreshes the Media Access Control (MAC) address. Because of introducing the pre-up state in the transmission node and the transmission node controlling whether to open the recovered failure port by itself, the traffic congestion caused by the primary node being unable to inform the recovered failure port could be avoided, and the loop network protection ability and the user experience are improved.
