A cutter is provided for cutting samples from a tissue- containing body. The cutter comprises a blade holder and two blades extending from the holder. The blade holder is arranged to allow the operator of the cutter to view the sample when the cutter is located directly between the vantage point of the operator and the sample with the blades entering the tissue-containing body.
