Intervertebral implant comprises a three-dimensional body (10) with an upper side (1), a lower side, a left side surface, a right side surface, a front surface (5), a rear surface, a horizontal central plane lying between the upper and lower side, a vertical central plane running from the front to the rear surface, and a number of bores (9) penetrating the body and receiving longitudinal fixing elements (20). The body has on its front surface a front plate (8) penetrated by the bores and in which the fixing elements are anchored. The implant has a securing plate (18) fixed parallel to the front plate on the body or on the front plate so that the bores are at least partly covered by the securing plate. An independent claim is also included for a process for implanting an intervertebral implant between two adjacent vertebrae. |
