<p>A pedal assembly (20) including a pedal housing (100) and a friction generating cartridge (700) which is clipped into the interior of the pedal housing (100) through an opening in the base of the pedal housing (100). The cartridge (700) includes at least an actuator (780) engaged by a pedal arm (50), a brake pad (760) engaged by the actuator (780), and springs (750, 754) which engage against the brake pad (760). Legs on the brake pad (760) frictionally engage against interior surfaces of the cartridge. A flexible, arcuate rib member (762) connects the legs.</p> |
