<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase frame speed, for example, in a continuous photographing mode, in an imaging apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes: a shutter spring for pressing a shutter drive member that drives a shutter blade; a shutter charging means which is for charging the shutter spring, wherein the charging of the shutter spring is finished to switch to a fixed condition for fixing the shutter drive member and a release condition; and a drive means for driving the shutter charging means. When a first determination means determines that the charging of the shutter spring is finished and the second determination means determines that a mirror becomes switchable from a down state to an up state, the driving means is controlled so that after the finish of the charging of the shutter spring, the shutter charging means is driven until the release condition without being stopped in the fixed condition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
