<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device with a lighting part having a wide rotation range. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting device includes a body to be mounted/demounted on/from an imaging device, and a rotation part having a light emitting portion and rotatably supported on the body. One of the body and the rotation part has an arcuate groove arranged around the rotational axis of the rotation part, and the other is restricted from moving in the extending direction of the groove and has a protrusion inserted into the groove. The groove has a pair of abutting portions for abutting on the protrusion to specify a starting point and a finishing point in the rotation range of the rotation part.
