PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool holder which can improve a vibration prevention property during working. SOLUTION: A tool holder 100 comprises a holder body 110, a holding sleeve 130 mounted to the holder body, a tool holding space 131 that is formed in the holding sleeve and holds a tool 200, a holding space 140 that holds the holding sleeve, a fluid storing chamber 151 that stores an oil-containing liquid, an attenuation ring 153 that is engaged with the holding sleeve and movable in a major axis direction of the holding sleeve while dividing the interior of the fluid storing chamber 151 into a first chamber 151a and a second chamber 151b, and a throttle passage 155 that makes the first chamber 151a communicate with the second chamber 151b. Upon the vibration of the holding sleeve during working, when the attenuation ring 153 is moved in the major axis direction of the holding sleeve 130 in the fluid storing chamber 151, an attenuation force is imparted by fluid throttle resistance developed in the advection of the oil-containing liquid between the first chamber 151a and the second chamber 151b through the throttle passage 155.
