PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator type parking device of the system, which allows access from its lower part, of which a whole access section surrounding a pallet is formed into a substantially flat floor having no level difference in entering and exiting the parking device. SOLUTION: The elevator type parking device includes a pallet lifting and rotating device 26 lifting and rotating the pallet in loading and unloading of a vehicle. An elevating carrier 13 includes an opening 31 at the center where the rotary table 27 of the pallet lifting and rotating device 26 passes, a pallet transfer mechanism 25 having a crank arm 40 transferring the pallet 20 between the elevating carrier 13 and a parking shelf 11 in each of front and rear parts of the opening 31, and elevator decks 32, 33 supported to be vertically movable upward from the position lower than a rotation trajectory of the crank arm of the pallet transfer mechanism 25. Each of the elevator decks 32, 33 has a deck cutout 50 formed from the center to one right or left outer corner so that the crank arm 40 can vertically pass. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
