PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire for heavy load, which allows achieving a reduction in weight more than that of a usual tire without impairing belt end separation resistance and productivity. SOLUTION: This pneumatic tire includes a pair of beads, a pair of sidewall parts continuous to the tire radial direction outside of both of the beads, a tread continuous between both of the sidewall parts, a carcass toroidally extending between the pair of beads to reinforce each part and a belt constituted of at least one sheet of belt layer 5 arranged in the tire radial direction outside a crown part of the carcass. At least one layer of the belt layers 5 is a rubber-drawn layer arrayed with filament bundles 7 in parallel. The filament bundles 7 are made by layering a plurality of non-twisted steel filaments having filament diameters of 0.40 to 0.50 mm by more than two steps, and the steel filaments of the upper steps are arranged between steel filaments of the lower steps.
