PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an album pasteboard and the album pasteboard which opens completely flat after bookbinding as an album, and which prevents printing failure and surface treatment failure. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the album pasteboard 40 in a rectangular shape on which images such as photos are directly printed includes: a printing process 100 to print an image at least one side of the base material 30; a surface treatment process 200 to perform glazing treatment on the surface of the base material 30; a hole making process 300 to form a long hole 31 extending parallel to the gutter G on the gutter side end 30a of the base material 30 with the image printed thereon; a pasting process 400 to adhere tape 32 from the front and back sides of the base material 30 onto the long hole 31 and seal the long hole 31; and a cutting process 500 to cut the top edge 30b and the bottom edge 30c of the base material 30 parallel to the head edge of the base material 30 and cut off the top end 31a and bottom end 31b of the long hole 31.
