PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine which can enhance interests in games by making players feel expectations for the awarding of a special favor pertaining to the variation of figures. SOLUTION: The game machine has a period setting means for setting a prescribed period within the period of time up to the end of the variation of patterns from the start of the variation and a residual time notification means which notifies the players of the residual time of the prescribed period set. When the players are notified of the residual time by the residual time notification means during the variation of the patterns, the patterns are stopped at least once during the residual time.
