Novel compounds of formula and acid addition salts thereof, where n is 2 or 3 and R represents dialkylamino, polymethyleneamino, e.g. piperidyl, or polymethyleneamino in which one of the methylene groups is replaced by oxygen, nitrogen or sulphur and in which additionally one or more of the methylene groups or nitrogen atoms replacing such groups can be substituted by an alkyl, aryl, alkaryl, hydroxyl or alkoxyl group and the alkyl or aryl groups can be substituted by a hydroxyl, alkyl, halogen or haloalkyl radical, are prepared by condensation of a compound of formula and phosgene, an alkyl haloformate or an alkyl halocarbonate. Pharmaceutical compositions having analgesic activity comprise as active ingredient an above novel compound in conventional formulations.
