PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine case protective cover for a saddle-riding vehicle, which protects the feet of an occupant from vibration or heat of an engine case, improves the comfortability of the feet, has a good operability of a foot brake, and does not prevents a heat radiation of the engine case. SOLUTION: The protective covers 81, 88 include: an engine case 33b arranged below a seat 9 and housing the crankshaft 35 of an internal combustion engine or a transmission 33; and a step 71R for placing shoes 90a of a seated occupant arranged within a vehicle width direction project area of the engine case. In the protective cover, at least part of a vehicle width direction swelling surface 80 of the engine case is positioned above the step. The protective cover covers the vehicle width direction swelling surface, and the vehicle width direction swelling surface has part 80a not covered with the protective cover at least at a portion between the step and itself as seen from the vehicle width direction.
