<p>Ethylene diazonium salts of formula (I) RR'C=CHN2+Y- (I) (where R is Cl, Br, tert. 4-6C alkyl or adamantyl; R' Cl or Br or R and R' together represent O, O'-biphenylene; and Y is an anionic halogen or halogen-arylsulphinate complex of B, Al, Sb or Sn in their highest valency) are prepd. by treating a sulphydrazone of formula (II):- RR'R"C=CH=N-NH. SO2. (II) (where R" is Cl, Br or H) with halogen-cpds. of B, Sb, Al or Sn in their highest valency, adapted to form halogen-complex or halogen-arylsulphinate complexes, at temp. -10 to +30 degrees C, in presence of a solvent.</p> |
