A method, an optical communication device and system for processing information in an optical network are disclosed by an embodiment of the present invention. The method comprises that a node receives a first message from an overhead of a first dimension and looks up local configuration information, which comprises an overhead of the first dimension of a protection path, the protection resources of the first dimension of the protection path, an overhead of a second dimension of the protection path, the protection resources of the second dimension of the protection path; based on the local configuration information and the first message, the node determines the protection path associated with the first message and determines the overhead of the second dimension associated with the first message; and based on the first message, the node transmits a second message to a node adjacent to the second dimension through the overhead of the second dimension associated with the first message. The technical solution provided by the embodiment of the present invention can reduce the information processing complexity. |
