PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress power consumption when generating a driving pulse. SOLUTION: A driving signal generating apparatus includes: a waveform generation part for generating a driving pulse for delivery loaded on a head when a liquid is delivered, and a driving pulse for non-delivery loaded on the head when the liquid is not delivered; a power amplification part performing a first power amplification performing power amplification of the driving pulse for delivery, and performing a second power amplification of the driving pulse for non-delivery; a power supply unit for outputting a first voltage higher than the maximum voltage of the driving pulse for delivery to the power amplification part; and a controller for controlling on/off of operation of the power supply unit so that the voltage fed to the power amplification part does not exceed the second voltage being lower than the first voltage during the second power amplification. In the driving signal generating apparatus, the second voltage is set based on the time constant of the power source unit and the reduction rate of the power consumption during the second power amplification.
