The present invention relates to a cooking appliance control method. In an example of the present invention, the cooking appliance control method comprises the steps of: supplying steam to a cooking chamber by means of a steam generator; and operating a convection motor and a convection heater for respective predetermined operating times in order to circulate the air on the inside of the cooking chamber or to supply convective heat to the cooking chamber when the supply of steam into the cooking chamber by means of the steam generator has been completed, and, in this control method, the time during which the convection motor operates and the time during which the convection heater operates overlap with each other but only partially. Consequently, the present invention has the advantage that odours in the cooking chamber are removed relatively effectively.
