Disclosed are a ceramic carbon composite material and a ceramic-coated ceramic carbon composite material, which are lightweight when compared with ceramics and have at least one of the excellent characteristics including excellent oxidation resistance, excellent dust generation resistance, excellent thermal conductivity, excellent electrical conductivity, excellent strength and excellent denseness. Specifically disclosed is a ceramic carbon composite material which is characterized in that a ceramic interfacial layer is formed between graphite or graphite-containing carbon particles. The ceramic carbon composite material is able to be produced by molding a ceramic-coated powder, wherein the surfaces of the graphite or graphite-containing carbon particles are respectively coated with a ceramic layer, and then sintering the molded body.
