A device, a transmission method and a reception method for enabling wireless Group 3 (G3) analog facsimile services are disclosed in the present invention, wherein the device includes a universal interface module, a main processing module, a facsimile Modulator-Demodulator (MODEM) module, a user interface module and a storage module, wherein the facsimile MODEM module is adopted to implement data conversion to the facsimile data to be received and transmitted by a local G3 analog facsimile machine, and the device externally provides the universal interface module to connect a wireless terminal, thus enabling the G3 analog facsimile services. By adopting the technical scheme of the present invention, on the one hand, specific requirements to the platform of the wireless terminal itself are avoided, thus greatly shortening the period for developing G3 facsimile functions of a wireless product by a wireless terminal supplier; on the other hand, a wireless terminal with G3 analog facsimile function can be flexibly customized for users, and the technical scheme is easy to realize.
