SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING VEHICLE DRIVER WITH GUIDANCE INFORMATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for providing a vehicle driver with guidance information.

SOLUTION: The system 10 includes an image pickup device 40 and an object sensor 30 attached to the vehicle 20. The image pickup device acquires an image in the vicinity of the vehicle. The object sensor is configured so as to detect an object in the vicinity of the vehicle. A central processing unit 50 processes the image acquired from the image pickup device to generate an output image. The processing of the acquired image is based on information which is obtained from the object sensor. An image display unit 60 is connected with the central processing unit to display the output image generated by the central processing unit.
