<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus to which a process cartridge can be detachably attached, and in which the process cartridge can be accurately positioned with respect to an apparatus body by improving operability for attaching/detaching the process cartridge. <P>SOLUTION: In the electrophotographic image forming apparatus in which the process cartridge is attachably/detachably supported on a tray 35 movable in the apparatus body of the electrophotographic image forming apparatus, a tray holding member 34 is constituted to be movable in the apparatus body. The image forming apparatus is provided with a pressing member 42 pressing the process cartridge in a state where the tray 35 to which the process cartridge is attached exists at an image forming position in the apparatus body. The pressing member 42 presses the process cartridge toward a rotary shaft of a photoreceptor 1 to press the process cartridge to a first positioning part formed in the apparatus body, and then presses the process cartridge to a second positioning part provided in the apparatus body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
