The floating-point digitizing system described in Specification 1,266,709 which is referred to, is modified in that the overall negative feedback around the chain of cascade-connected amplifiers is omitted and in that different amplifiers are used, so that whereas in Specification 1,266,709 the chain of amplifiers have equal A.C. and D.C. gains, greater than unity, in the present Specification whilst the A.C. gain is greater than unity, the D.C. gain is substantially unity.</p> |
