PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller bearing for a crankshaft which can rotatably support a crankshaft with a simple structure and prevent the occurrence of an impact load to suppress noise. SOLUTION: The roller bearing 1 for the crankshaft, which is mounted in a bearing hole 7 formed of a cylinder block 3 and a bearing cap 4 to freely rotatably support a journal part 6 of a crankshaft, consists of an outer ring 10 fitted in the bearing hole 7 with a clearance S, a plurality of rollers 16 arranged in an inner peripheral surface 14 of the outer ring 10 with a clearance in a circumferential direction and rotatably brought into contact with the journal part 6 and an oil passage 30 formed in the cylinder block 3 and feeding oil into the clearance S to form an oil film damper.
