ACTUATOR ELEMENT AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator element with a low actuating voltage and a large displacement at a low cost. SOLUTION: The actuator element has a displacing unit formed by the mixture of an ionic liquid and an elastomer containing silicone and a plurality of electrodes installed to apply an electric field to a part or all of the displacing units. The subject matter can be solved by providing the actuator element whose displacing unit is deformed by applying the voltage in between the electrodes. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
