PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanical power transmission system assembly for testing a full-scale compressor rig and a gas turbine. SOLUTION: The power transmission system 100 includes an electric motor 120, a gear box 140, and the gas turbine 160. A compressor rig 150 is connected to the power transmission system 100 between the electric motor 120 and the gas turbine 160. The power transmission system 100 further includes a torque converter 130 transmitting torque from the electric motor 120 to the compressor rig 150. The power transmission system 100 is constituted to test the full-scale compressor rig 150 in a whole rate and load operation range and allows full compressor mapping from choke to stall, under a full load condition, a partial load (output turndown) condition, and a partial rate condition.
