PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reclining device which easily performs mounting of a spring and suppresses an installment space of the spring to a small degree. SOLUTION: Mounting of the spring can be easily performed by providing a shaft mounting part 22 fittable to a shaft on the end of the spring 2, and further, the height dimension of the winding part 21 of the spring 2 can be reduced by forming the winding part 21 by winding the spring 2 into a conical swirl shape.
