The invention relates to metallurgy and concerns the mold for casting rolls and rollers by centrifugal method. A mold comprises a casting form, end lids, an insert installed in the form, an O-ring made of heat-insulating material. The O-ring at assembling of the mold is mounted with deformation, which is 10-30 % of its thickness, and the linear size of insert is observed taking into account the deformation and is determined from the relationship. Effect: prevention of fin forming on the billets, elimination of defects of hot cracks. |
