The screw compressor has two rotors that are divided in a main rotor (2) and an auxiliary rotor, where a profile section (23) of the main rotor has a distinct helical gearing. An outlet window (12) is formed for the exhaust of the working medium from the tooth space of the rotors. The axial bearings (5,6) and a balance piston (7) are arranged on the suction-sided shaft passage (18).
