<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a D-A converter capable of reducing power consumption during a period of time when D-A conversion is not required. <P>SOLUTION: The D-A converter includes switching circuits 61, 62, 63 provided at each of a plurality of current sources 51, 52, 53 for supplying a current corresponding to a reference current generated by a reference current generating circuit 10, and switching whether a voltage output circuit 40 or a predetermined load is defined as the connecting destination of each of the current sources 51, 52, 53. A control unit 50 controls the switching circuits 61a-61h, 62, 63 on the basis of a digital signal to be inputted, selects a current source connected to the voltage output circuit 40 from among the current sources 51a-51h, 52, 53 and outputs a voltage corresponding to the digital signal from the voltage output circuit 40. The control unit 50 further includes transistors T51a-T51h, T52, T53 as switches for stopping the operation of at least one of the current sources 51a-51h, 52, 53 without stopping the operation of the reference current generating circuit 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
