摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotational friction joining method of thermoplastic resin pipe capable of satisfactorily joining thermoplastic resin pipes to each other, or a thermoplastic resin pipe to a joint via an intermediate member. <P>SOLUTION: The rotational friction joining method of thermoplastic resin pipe includes: a process of performing taper processing of a predetermined angle onto an outer surface 1a of the end part of each thermoplastic resin pipe (polyethylene pipe 1); a process of performing tapered hole processing of a prescribed angle onto inner surfaces of two joint parts of the intermediate member (socket 3); and a process of rotating the intermediate members (socket 3) with respect to the thermoplastic resin pipe (polyethylene pipe 1) while the tapered parts 1b of the thermoplastic resin pipes (polyethylene pipes 1) respectively being inserted to tapered holes 3a of the intermediate members (socket 3) as it is, at the same time, applying a prescribed pressure in the axial center direction of the thermoplastic resin pipe (polyethylene pipe 1), causing frictional movement and heat-generation and melting a frictional contact part to join the thermoplastic resin pipes (polyethylene pipes 1) to each other via the intermediate member (socket 3). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p>
