PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for mounting electronic parts, improving operability of a feed operation of electronic parts by an operator, and reducing an installation space of a mounting line. SOLUTION: The apparatus for mounting electronic parts includes: a panel positioning part 7 which is disposed on a base stand 11 and performs the positioning of a display panel DP; a tray conveyance part 14 which conveys a parts tray TR fed to a tray feed region SS on the front surface side of the base stand 11 to a tray installation region SP on the back surface side of the base stand 11; and a part fitting mechanism 15 which is disposed on a back side region of a panel positioning part 7 as viewed from the front surface side of the base stand 11, takes out electronic parts P from the parts tray TR conveyed to the tray disposition region SP by the tray conveyance part 14, and fits the electronic parts P to the display panel DP positioned by the panel positioning part 7.
