DEVICE, PROGRAM AND METHOD FOR ANALYZING TRAFFIC SITUATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traffic situation analysis device, a traffic situation analysis program and a traffic situation analysis method for providing traffic situation without being limited to information on a main road or the like. SOLUTION: In the traffic situation analysis device, an approximate curve calculation part calculates an approximate curve which indicates relationship between the number of vehicles present in each of the predetermined area and area traffic state information indicating the number of running vehicles passing the area by a function being convex upward. A congestion index calculation part calculates a congestion index which indicates the degree of passage difficulty in the area on the basis of a positional relationship with the approximate curve.
