The apparatus (10) has an actuator (14) including an actuator seal (16) for lifting a component i.e. bonnet (12), of an outer layer of a vehicle, where the seal pushes the components of the outer layer. A lock (30), joints (32, 34), slider (36) and a guide (38) lock unintended movement of the seal by opening of the component of the outer layer. The slider is moved from the lever, and a frame joint (20) guides opening movement of the component. The frame joint comprises a movable frame joint part (24), where the lock, joints, slider and the guide are moved by the frame joint part.
