A lens drive device configured in such a manner that support columns are prevented from being deflected inward due to winding pressure generated by routing of a conduction wire. A lens drive device (1) is provided with a holder (10) which holds a lens unit (13) and is movable in the direction of the optical axis of the lens unit (13), magnets (20) which surround the lens unit (13) from the radial direction of the lens unit (13) and are affixed to the holder (10), a coil (60) which surrounds the holder (10) from the radial direction and faces the magnets in the radial direction, and support columns which surround the holder (10) from the radial direction, have the coil (60) wound thereon, and extend in the optical axis direction. The lens drive device is further provided with beams which each connect the ends of the support columns (32) which are oriented in the same direction in the optical axis direction, and the beam is connected to all of the ends of the support columns (32).
