<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of controlling intermittent reception (DRX) due to a base station apparatus (eNodeB) in E-UTRAN and E-UTRA specifications. <P>SOLUTION: The method of controlling intermittent reception includes: a first step of transmitting information, which determines a cycle of intermittent reception, through communication from a base station apparatus to a first layer; and a second step of transmitting, to a wireless communication terminal device which performs intermittent reception according to the cycle based on the information transmitted, instructions to adjust an intermittent reception parameter through communication between second layers lower than the first layer such that the wireless communication terminal stops reception and then activates the periodical intermittent reception.
